Just Bag It!

We all went home 'bag ladies'!  Momma Crafter led us in constructing cute little gift bags using 12x12 scrapbook paper.  We all used her most awesome scoring tray to make bags almost as cute as hers.  We then started venturing out to make different sizes and different shapes.  We left with bags which we were all saying how hard it was going to be to give away.  Somewhere along the way, I think Wendy "craft" her pants...which became our official saying of the day.

Here are the BAG LADIES:   ( I am officially resigning as club photographer! My camera obviously stinks!!)

*disclaimer....the bags Jenny is holding MAY or MAY NOT be her own creations.  ;)  *

Tricia's bags.......or bag....I know she made more, we must not have taken pics of them.  Cute and spring-y they were.  Just perfect for a little Easter treat for a special sister *wink*wink*!!!

And Jenny's bags ( you can't tel, but the green one I actually changed it up a bit; made it square instead of rectangular!)

Next month is Erin's turn to host and she has already declared 'Open Crafting' at her house!  So we will all be working on our own projects that we never seem to find the time to complete.

Just a few 'Blockheads'

We had our 1st CRAFTERNOON!!!

(Erin, Wendy, Christy, Momma Crafter ~ Karen, and Jenny)

Jenny wanted to host as she had an idea she wanted to make for Valentine's Day decor.  After getting the idea from lyndseyscraftspot,   It was a very easy project and we all made our blocks unique.  Jenny supplied tons of blocks (that Erin's husband so graciously cut for us) and everyone brought their other supplies and creativity.

Here are Erin's blocks:

Here are Momma Crafter's blocks:

Wendy's blocks....which she was making for a dear friend's gift:

Christy's blocks.....she used her nickname and made blocks for her home desk:

(Tricia had to miss out on this Crafternoon.)

Here We Go!!!

Ok, my friends! Here we go!

One evening Momma Crafter (Karen) presented the idea to me to form a Craft Club. She explained we could get together once a month and craft together. A reason to HAVE to craft, I was IN! So we recruited 2 of her daughter-in-laws (Christy and Erin...which are also more friends than cousins). I recruited my sister, Tricia (and hair dresser of most of our club members). Then Momma Crafter has an awesome sister-in-law (making her yet another cousin-in-law of mine) we knew we'd enjoy spending an afternoon a month with. We all are excited to join this club and get to hang out. Thus, the Crafternooners were born.

Since starting this club, just two weeks ago we have all done several crafts outside our Crafternoon project. We want to use this blog to share our Crafternoon projects with other crafters. We also enjoy showing other things we have done on our own.

Over time I hope to feature each of our Crafternooners and let you learn a little more about them.

If you visit our little slice of cyberspace, please leave us a comment. And if you have a blog, please leave us a link so we can visit you as well.
